Meadow Lane Jog-A-Thon

Gabrielle participated in her elementary school's annual fundraiser this past Tuesday evening. The Jog-A-Thon is the only annual fundraising event and those who coordinated it made sure it was a family fun event this year.

And she is off ...

Daddy and Dawson joined Gabi in completing laps. Dawson ran/jogged half the laps and was carried on Daddy's shoulders the other half.

Gabi with her 1st grade teacher Mr. Herrig
A big thank-you to those who pledged Gabrielle at the Jog-A-Thon.

Embrace the Camera: Daddy & PSP style

I'm am finally joining my friend Emily's Embrace the Camera challenge over at www.andersonfamilycrew.blogspot.com
This is our 1st time linking up with hopes to participate on a more frequent basis. It challenges us to get out from behind the lens and take pictures of us with our spouse, children, friends, etc. So this week features Daddy with his pint size princess, or PSP.

Daddy had a day off from work on Monday and joined me in an effort to obtain some 8 month pictures of McKenna. I was unsuccessful in snapping any decent pics of McKenna alone, but love these handful of shots I got of the two of them together.

G

Peanut,
Today I prayed for you at Mothers in Touch. My prayer was that you would always be strong and courageous in your walk with Jesus. I asked that you would be salt and light within the school and that you would be surrounded with friends of good influence. I asked God to show Mommy and Daddy how to love you best as the unique individual He created you to be.
You are sweet. You are sassy. You are bold, determined and can be stubborn as a mule. You are very tenderhearted. You are outspoken. You are adored. You test us and try our patience. You push us to become better parents. You aim to please (most of the time). You love Jesus and are excelling in your scripture memorization for Awana. You make us proud.

You are adventurous.

You are a Daddy's girl.

You are beautiful and loved beyond measure!
Tonight as I tucked you into bed you asked if I would help you fulfill a challenge you had been given. You took your Bible we had just finished reading and came and sat next to me on the bed under your window and prayed the sweetest prayer. Always remember you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Sometimes Mommy doesn't thank God enough for the gift that you are!
